Last Updated: August 25, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Pirate Cards website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies referenced on our website, including our Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and applicable product condition standards.
Taxes and Charges
Applicable sales taxes will be calculated and displayed at checkout where required by law. The amount of tax charged may vary based on the customer’s delivery location and applicable tax rules.
Any applicable shipping charges and other amounts payable to Pirate Cards will be displayed before the customer completes their purchase. International orders may also be subject to duties, taxes, brokerage fees, tariffs, or other import charges as described in our Shipping Policy.

Pirate Cards is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Bandai, Toei Animation, or the creators of One Piece. Brand names and product imagery are used only to identify the products we sell.
Pricing & Inventory Errors
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, prices, availability, and other listing information are accurate. However, errors or inventory discrepancies may occasionally occur.
If an order is affected by a material pricing, inventory, or listing error before shipment, Pirate Cards may correct the information and, where necessary, cancel the affected item or order.
If payment has already been collected for an item or order that is cancelled due to such an error, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
If a significant listing issue is identified after shipment, it will be reviewed in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
Order Cancellations
You may request a cancellation before your order has been shipped by contacting us at hello@piratecards.shop as soon as possible. Cancellation requests are not guaranteed and depend on the order's fulfillment status.
Once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled. Any applicable claim or refund request after shipment will be handled in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
Fraud Prevention and Order Verification
To help protect customers and Pirate Cards from fraud, unauthorized transactions, and other security risks, we may take reasonable steps to verify an order before shipment.
This may include verifying customer identity, billing or shipping information, requesting additional information or documentation, requiring signature confirmation, temporarily holding an order for review, or limiting purchase quantities where reasonably necessary.
Pirate Cards may cancel or decline an order where there is a reasonable basis to believe that the transaction is fraudulent, unauthorized, materially inconsistent with the information provided, or otherwise presents a significant security or payment risk.
If a paid order is cancelled for these reasons, any applicable refund will be issued to the original payment method, subject to any lawful restrictions or payment-provider requirements.
Card Condition Standards
Pirate Cards currently lists single cards in Near Mint (NM) and Lightly Played (LP) condition, where applicable.
Each card is assessed based on its overall appearance and any visible imperfections before being listed.
Near Mint (NM)
Near Mint cards are in very clean overall condition and may contain a limited number of minor imperfections. These may include, for example, a small white spot, slight edge or corner wear, or a minor surface blemish.
The type, severity, and overall appearance of any imperfection are considered when determining condition. A card with multiple noticeable defects or more significant wear would not qualify as Near Mint.
Lightly Played (LP)
Lightly Played cards may show multiple visible signs of wear while remaining in good overall condition. This can include noticeable edge or corner whitening, small surface scratches, light scuffing, slight lifting, minor imprints, or other cosmetic wear.
The overall severity and appearance of the wear are considered when determining condition.
Cards with significant creasing, major surface damage, heavy lifting, or severe structural damage would not qualify as Lightly Played.
Near Mint and Lightly Played condition classifications do not mean flawless condition and are not a guarantee of any specific professional grading result.
For additional details, please review our FAQs and Card Condition Standards.
Condition Assessments
Each single card is reviewed through Pirate Cards' quality-control and condition-assessment process before being listed for sale.
Card condition can involve some degree of judgment, and assessments are made using the published condition standards described in our FAQs, taking into account the card's overall appearance and visible imperfections.
A difference in personal opinion regarding condition does not, by itself, qualify an item for a return, refund, replacement, or other compensation where the card received is consistent with the condition disclosed at the time of purchase.
Product Images
Product images for trading card singles are generally representative images and may not depict the exact physical card you will receive. Where applicable, representative images may be marked as "SAMPLE."
The condition selected on the product page and Pirate Cards' published condition standards determine the condition of the card being purchased.
The physical card received may differ from the representative image in centering, print characteristics, or allowable condition-related imperfections.
Where a listing specifically states that the exact item pictured will be received, the listing images will correspond to that individual item.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pirate Cards will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the use of our website, products, or Services.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable consumer protection or other laws.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service and the policies incorporated into them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Privacy
Pirate Cards collects, uses, and processes personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we collect, how we use and disclose that information, how long information may be retained, and the privacy rights and choices that may be available to you.
